The White King is his second novel, published in 2005, but the first to appear in English. It&#8217;s narrated by 11-year-old Djata, whose father has been seized by the security forces and is believed to be in a camp.<\/p>\n<p>The novel won awards in Hungary, and it&#8217;s easy to see why.
